Vintage 1960’s Robe {SOLD}

Warm, sensuously silky and seriously sexy, this smoking jacket/lounging robe is suitable for a man or a woman. It is reversible with a beautiful traditional floral pattern on one side, and pure shimmering silky black on the other. I don't know which side is more beautiful!

Reverse Side

This robe is lightly quilted, and trimmed with velvet on the front, neck and lapel edges. It is shown here with sleeves rolled and unrolled to give you some ideas of the possibilities. This is one of those miraculous finds - the condition is excellent. There is no evidence of being worn much; the colors are so vibrant and rich and there aren't any stains, tears, or pulls in the fabric. 

On bare skin this robe feels as if you are enveloped in a warm, luxurious, cocoon. Who needs Viagra? It brings to mind old James Bond films and romantic candle lit dinners with martinis - shaken, not stirred. Fashionable enough to be worn at a party over a sexy black dress, or for men ~ as a smoking jacket when hosting a New Year's eve party at home... hmmm thinking of martinis again.
